Canadian Tire Financial Services and ING Direct have both boosted their TSFA-eligible savings account rates recently to attract new deposits to get a jump on the tax season.
CTFS has the better rate of the two, offering 3.15% in their Tax Free High Interest Savings account.
If you’re a current customer of either, you don’t have to worry, you’ll get these same rates. The caveat for current or new customers of course is that the rates are subject to change at any time and with the low Bank of Canada lending rates it’s likely that they’ll fall from their current rates in the short term.
